CUSTOMER INFORMATION
Privacy & enquiries
This notice describes the enquiry service operated under the Carbon Parts Australia name. Contact us using the Contact form or info@carbonpartsaustralia.com.au. Registered operator details are still being finalised.
Draft customer information. Merchant and fulfilment details are still being finalised.
Information you provide
When you submit a quote or contact request, we collect the fields you complete, such as your name, email, telephone number, postcode, selected parts, vehicle details and message. A request reference, submission time and processing status are also recorded. Please avoid sending card details, identity documents or sensitive information that is not needed for your enquiry.
You can browse without submitting an enquiry. If you do not provide a contact method or the relevant vehicle information, we may be unable to respond or assess your request.
Why it is used
We use enquiry information to consider your request, check the requested specification, communicate with you and keep a record of the enquiry and any related complaint. A quote request is not a newsletter subscription.
Website services and access
Requests on this domain are stored in the private Carbon Parts Australia database on Crazy Domains hosting. The owner dashboard uses a separate password-protected login with secure session cookies. Hosting providers process information needed to deliver and protect the service. Earlier requests and a working preview may remain with ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare during migration.
If we need a supplier's help to check a part, we use relevant product and vehicle details. Do not include personal details in vehicle notes unless necessary. Supplier and carrier disclosures for a confirmed purchase will be explained before payment.
Our service providers can operate outside Australia. The countries and processing arrangements relevant to this service are still being verified; we do not promise Australian-only storage.
For abuse prevention, the site temporarily stores a hash derived from the network address and a short time window, together with a request count. Hosting providers can also maintain operational and security logs.
Storage and messages
The private owner area uses a necessary session cookie to keep the owner signed in and protect form submissions. Public browsing does not require an account. Cart selections remain in your browser on the domain where you made them; the old preview and this domain have separate browser storage.
Your browser can retain cart or shortlist selections so they remain available on that device. Submitting a form creates a separate server-side record; clearing browser storage does not remove that record.
The confirmation screen states whether your request was saved and whether an email receipt was sent. Email delivery is not assumed. Records are retained to handle enquiries, any resulting transactions, complaints and applicable record-keeping needs. No automatic deletion period or self-service deletion tool is promised.
Access, correction and concerns
Use the Contact form to request access to or correction of information you submitted, raise a privacy concern, or ask about removal of an enquiry. Include your reference where available. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing records. Removal requests are assessed against legitimate record-keeping needs and applicable law; there is no promise of immediate deletion.
You can ask the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner about your privacy rights or complaint options. Whether the Privacy Act applies to the operator depends on facts still being confirmed.
Future checkout
The current enquiry flow does not collect payment-card details. A payment or email service will be described here when it is enabled. This notice will be updated when our actual handling practices change.
